Notes From the Masters Class, June 6, 2018

We have a real crisis in America today. It is a moral crisis. For those of us who lived through the Viet Nam War and were exposed to brilliant moral leadership, today’s crisis is as much about leadership as it is about asylum seekers knocking at the door of America for what we hope is still freedom.

These two articles will give you sense of perspective about where we are right now.

A little over 50 years ago, right after the assignation of Dr. Martin Luther King, we heard what is perhaps the greatest speech in American History. Senator Robert F. Kennedy, running for President of the United States, climbed up on a flat bed truck, surrounded by a potentially violent crowd of black people and made this speech. Looking back on what was said that night and what was accomplished, it is hard to imagine today anything of similar power or wisdom being spoken by our current leader. We have devolved. We no longer talk about moral values, nor do we ever hear encouraging words for unity in America from the hearts of our leadership.

Join with me today to let our natural American goodness shine through this horrible treatment of these powerless human beings with love and compassion for those much worse off than we are.

Steven R. Vazquez, Ph.D., LPC-S, LMFT is our next live Interviewee on Thursday, May 17 at 7 PM at Unity Church of the Hills

This is our remarkable interview with Dr. Vazquez on Kundalini. A follow-up with Anne Beversdorf will be included soon.

Meet the Grandons! Unity Church of the Hills new Co-Ministers

America is on the ride of our lives, and if you are like me, you spend a lot of time trying to understand what this is all about.  After living under the leadership of one of the best educated and most highly respected US Presidents and observing that we were able to have eight years of almost no scandals, and our country and our President and his family were loved around the world, we now find ourselves losing friends and allies in every part of the world, becoming the laughing stock of the major powers and being led by a man who appears to have no clue, from day to day, what he is doing or why.

His Presidency is characterized by a series of lies (some count more than 3000 lies told by the President in the first 13 months of his first term), sex scandals, millions of dollars sent on golf trips for which his hotels and golf clubs charge the American people enormous sums, which go right into his pockets.

He has broken treaties and promises made by America and in so doing placed the world itself in mortal danger. Twenty years from now, this white man will be hated around the world for his refusal to value unassailable science which lets us know that we have a global crisis on our hands, which will only grow worse under this man’s arrogant, ignorant and blustery leadership coupled with our failure to honor God’s creation as Holy.

He has blatantly ignored and abused many of the Christian norms that have been a part of American leadership since the beginning of our country.  Remarkably about 40% of the American voting public seems to think he is a doing a great job.

A majority of this 40% identifies themselves as Evangelical Christians.  They even go so far as to say that, without question, he has been ordained by God Herself to this position and for this purpose.

And you know what, they may be right.  An old Rabbi friend of mine used to say: “God works funny.” This may be one of those moments. God may have chosen a man who thumbs his nose at God to work out Her purpose in this modern, fear- filled world.

Who is to say that by pulling the United States out of the Paris Climate agreements, God chose this man to set us off on a course that hastens the day when this global calamity, which we have all known about for most of our adult lives, occurs.

Perhaps God wants us to confront this tragedy looming on the horizon much sooner because She is tired of us not taking Her word seriously.  This also applies to the threat of nuclear war, of which America is the most powerful proponent.

God may be showing us She can use the least qualified man to ever hold the Presidency of the United States to change history for the better by making all of these tragic mistakes and accelerating the arrival of this looming global tragedy.

When it arrives, this tragedy will require the best of each of us and a powerful life of prayer to honor this God who created it all.

And when you pray, ask God to let this bitter cup pass us by.

1 Timothy 6:10: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. NKJV

By Chuck Robison

Shakespeare also said that “For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

In the Third Dimension, where most of us live most of the time, many things are good; many are evil. Duality is the definition of this dimension. Here, belief in evil is the cause of evil.

Money is not the root, but rather the most common way most people experience this dimension’s duality. No question. When you start focusing on money, you can never have enough. The search for more and more money is clearly at the center of the corruption that now characterizes our increasingly dysfunctional government. The heartaches we experience as we pierce our hearts with cuts to services for the poor, the elderly, the ill and those seeking education in order to satisfy the need for money that the 1% Oligarchs demand, prove Timothy right.

He is righter still when he states: “…some have strayed from the faith in their greediness.” Today a whole segment of the Christian Community in America has now chosen to excuse this corruption and outright theft of the public’s funds because they believe that our new President will bring the past back to life. America will never be anything near great when we seek the solutions to our problems in the past.

And yet here we see many Christians excusing the most abusive behaviors of our “baby Christian” President (their words, not mine) on the promise that we will all get more money as he walks us back to the past where some believe our greatness lies.

Our true greatness lies where our spirits long to go. We yearn for entry into the Fourth and Fifth dimensions of consciousness, where duality is not present, but rather, where One Spirit allows us to see that we are all one, neither good nor bad, neither black nor white, neither male nor female. In these two dimensions and all others beyond, we see the ONE truth: each of us is a powerful eternal spiritual being. In the Fourth and Fifth dimensions we could never doubt God’s existence or her love for all She has created. And in these dimensions, all are equal, and all are holy.

And the Good News that Jesus declared is as true today as it was the moment he spoke these words: “Seek you First the Kingdom of God.” This kingdom, in 21st century quantum language, is in a different dimension of consciousness and you can get there as easily as experiencing your next breath.

God wants us to ascend to the next levels and She has made it easy for those who can believe it. It is possible.

And here is the secret: You will see it, when you believe it. Your disbelief does not in any way affect these higher dimensions. But your disbelief forces you to live in a world where Timothy was right, not in the dimensions where Jesus is forever right.

Little White Lies. Hill Country News. April 12, 2018

By Chuck Robison

Occasionally, it is a good idea to read through the Ten Commandments. These Commandments are not just good ideas; they are the law. When we understand the laws, we see there are always consequences for breaking them.

In our creativity, we can find ways around anything and our preferred way around the commandment: YOU SHALL NOT LIE is the proverbial “Little White Lie”.

We all tell them, and we excuse these lies even when they are blatant or damaging to ourselves or others.

An old friend once told me that the best way to keep from lying is to not do things that force you to tell lies.

Americans have become accustomed to repeating and believing at least three very dangerous “little white lies”.

1. “America is a Christian Nation.” This may have been true in the past, but it certainly is not true now. If it were true, we would hold ourselves responsible for demonstrating Christian values. This applies especially to our leaders. Here is what Stephen Colbert has to say: “If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn’t help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we’ve got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don’t want to do it.”

When we add $1.3 trillion to the deficit to provide a much needed tax break for the wealthiest 1% of our citizens and then claim that the only way to reduce the newly increased deficit is to cut back on services to the poor and needy, and medical care for the elderly and children, we are definitely not a nation acting likeThe Christ has commanded. We are lying to ourselves.

2. “America is a Democracy”. Sounds good. We send our children to foreign lands to support and project democracy. But, it is a lie. We live in an Oligarchy where the richest among us are the ones who call all the shots. The people with the real power are the Billionaires. This may be the best way to run a country, but if it is, then we should stop lying to ourselves and call us what we are: An Oligarchy.

3. “We stand for Freedom”. Sounds good. Especially when we invade country after country to bring them freedom. But, it is a lie. We are history’s largest empire. We encircle the globe and our market place includes even the smallest village in the poorest of countries. In the name and defense of this empire, we bring war and suffering to anyone or any country who does not do what we wantor takes steps to correct us.

Delegates to the Constitutional Convention of 1787 hotly debated the issue of slavery. George Mason of Virginia argued eloquently against slavery, warning his fellow delegates: “Every master of slaves is born a petty tyrant. They bring the judgment of heaven on a country. As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, they must be in this. By an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes national sins by national calamities.”We saw The Civil War bring Providence’s judgement upon America because we told ourselves the “little white lie” that black people were just 3/5 human.

Look around you and remember these times. Providence is still very much in control. As long as we keep breaking the Commandment with just “little white lies”, we will somehow have to pay for them, and the trouble with all of that is:

Payback Day may be much closer than we think.

Of course, I could be wrong.
