Rudolf Steiner and the Austin Waldorf School Drama: This War is Not Inevitable!

Our Friend Dr. Stephen Usher, a patron of the Waldorf School here in Austin, asked us to help publicize the Play being presented this Saturday, November 3 at 7 PM at the Austin Waldorf School. 8700 South View Road. Performing Arts Center, Austin 78737

Here is what he has to say:

In the heightened drama of WW1 Germany, Rudolf Steiner, and Emil Molt, risk everything to fight for human rights. 100 years later do we still have a chance? This politically charged, historical drama takes on challenging questions still unanswered today. Join us.

The play follows Steiner and his relationship with famous entrepreneur Emil Molt. The two endeavor to stop the war by attempting to influence the Treaty of Versailles and the Reichstag in hopes that Steiner’s philosophies on social, economic, and legal reform would be accepted.

Notes From the Masters Class, June 6, 2018

We have a real crisis in America today. It is a moral crisis. For those of us who lived through the Viet Nam War and were exposed to brilliant moral leadership, today’s crisis is as much about leadership as it is about asylum seekers knocking at the door of America for what we hope is still freedom.

These two articles will give you sense of perspective about where we are right now.

A little over 50 years ago, right after the assignation of Dr. Martin Luther King, we heard what is perhaps the greatest speech in American History. Senator Robert F. Kennedy, running for President of the United States, climbed up on a flat bed truck, surrounded by a potentially violent crowd of black people and made this speech. Looking back on what was said that night and what was accomplished, it is hard to imagine today anything of similar power or wisdom being spoken by our current leader. We have devolved. We no longer talk about moral values, nor do we ever hear encouraging words for unity in America from the hearts of our leadership.

Join with me today to let our natural American goodness shine through this horrible treatment of these powerless human beings with love and compassion for those much worse off than we are.

Steven R. Vazquez, Ph.D., LPC-S, LMFT is our next live Interviewee on Thursday, May 17 at 7 PM at Unity Church of the Hills
