Notes From the Masters Class, June 6, 2018

We have a real crisis in America today. It is a moral crisis. For those of us who lived through the Viet Nam War and were exposed to brilliant moral leadership, today’s crisis is as much about leadership as it is about asylum seekers knocking at the door of America for what we hope is still freedom.

These two articles will give you sense of perspective about where we are right now.

A little over 50 years ago, right after the assignation of Dr. Martin Luther King, we heard what is perhaps the greatest speech in American History. Senator Robert F. Kennedy, running for President of the United States, climbed up on a flat bed truck, surrounded by a potentially violent crowd of black people and made this speech. Looking back on what was said that night and what was accomplished, it is hard to imagine today anything of similar power or wisdom being spoken by our current leader. We have devolved. We no longer talk about moral values, nor do we ever hear encouraging words for unity in America from the hearts of our leadership.

Join with me today to let our natural American goodness shine through this horrible treatment of these powerless human beings with love and compassion for those much worse off than we are.

Dr. Don Edward Beck, Ph.D. interviewed by Chuck and Karen

We interviewed Don Beck in Dallas on December 4, 2010. In the interview, he explains Spiral Dynamics, his role in the evolution of South Africa including his work with Nelson Mandela, his contribution to the movie Invictus, his work in Palestine and most important, his spiritual path and growth. The last 15 minutes are worth the price of admission all by themselves. This is a MUST SEE video. Enjoy.

Chuck’s Sermon at Unity in the Heart of Austin, April 30, 2017

Chuck was the Guest Speaker at Unity in the Heart of Austin and this is the presentation:

Dr. Stephen E. Usher discusses the life and achievements of Rudolph Steiner

Dr. Stephen E. Usher is America’s leading expert on the life and achievements of Rudolf Steiner, the 20th century philosopher and Consciousness explorer, who founded the Waldorf Schools, among his many remarkable achievements.

We held this interview at the Unity Church of the Hills on November 2, 2017 here in Austin. This church is quickly becoming one of the Consciousness centers of Austin and What If It Really Works? has established a strategic relationship with UCOH that will result in our conducting nine more interviews over the next 11 months. This interview was the first in this series and we are very grateful to UCOH for including us on their programs.

Creation Stories

Hill Country News Faith Roundtable Article 2016-05-25

By Chuck Robison

All of us wrestle with the Big 5 Questions most of our lives. They are: 1. Who are we? 2. Where did we come from? 3. Why are we here? 4. Where are we going? and, 5. What time is it?

Every society, religion, and civilization has its own creation story, each designed to make sense as an answer to question 2. There is no need to seek the literal truth of our own Judeo, Muslim, Christian creation story. It is all made up. There was never a Garden of Eden, we never fell from anywhere and the entire history of mankind, going back at least a million years, has been about evolving out of the primordial muck and into the less than perfect beings we are today.

However, the creation story that we Jews and we Christians and we Muslims share has very specific powerful value, especially in today’s world. We three are religious cousins and our fights and squabbles are put into perspective when we read the first sentence of our common creation story:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The message is very clear. We did not create this. We had nothing to do with this creation. Our Universe can be described as a Great Thought, which God had in a moment, and we are but the result. All artists can determine how their art is expressed, used and by whom. God created all of this, including each of us, and He can determine how He wants to use us.

Asking this Roundtable’s question tempts us to buy into the confounding resurgence of American Anti-Intellectualism. All of sudden, it is very common to hear Americans deny science, history, and even humanity’s great intellectual achievements to focus instead on “stories” that are supposed to make us feel better. We now casually deny science and common sense when we proudly proclaim “there is no environmental crisis. Even if there is, man did not cause it.” However, the very God, the higher Divine Mind behind all of this, will not allow us to get away with this “story” much longer.

We do well to study just the first sentence of our Creation Story until the day comes when we fully understand that we are the creatures and God is the creator. He made the rules and He decides the outcome. And this part is not a made up story, it is the law.

Austin Consciousness Explorers: Chuck and Karen present Our Adventure!

We were asked to present our definitions of Consciousness to the regular monthly meeting of the Austin Consciousness Explorers. We were delighted at the response that still keeps coming into this presentation. It gave us an opportunity to look back on the first thirteen years of our work together and to present what we think will be the next portion of our work, which will be based, primarily, in Austin. This presentation is in two parts:

Part One:

Part Two:
