Who is responsible for charity? August 20, 2014 Hill Country News

“If this is going to be a Christian nation that does not help the poor, either we’ve got to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we’ve got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and admit that we just don’t want to do it” Stephen Colbert

Am I my brother’s keeper, or what?

This question, reveals that we are in a spiritual crisis in America that could be called an eclipse of compassion.

Somehow “The Haves” are concerned that when seeking help, “The Have Nots” are trying to cheat them and the system. The cry for compassion is lost amid the fear that any call for help is a scam.

Look at how America is seen around the world right now:

Three million Syrian refugees (1/3 are children) are living in the Jordanian desert while America seems more willing to find places on which to drop bombs than to find ways to support these refugees.

As many as 40,000 Central Americans are trying to escape the criminal takeover of their own countries and are being criminalized at the American border, themselves, for seeking asylum in America. This is underscored by the fact that America’s drug habit is being sustained through the collusion of the cartels and the highest levels of our government. Much easier to blame the refugees than to even look at how our drug dependence has created a six hundred billion dollar profit center for those in this country on the take.

In a response showing a monumental lack of compassion and wisdom, we seem more comfortable in deporting the refugee children than deporting the drugs and drug dealers who are already here. If we are being invaded by 11 year-old drug dealers, as some claim, that only reveals how deeply this nation is addicted to drugs.

In essence, the question is not “who is our brother’s keeper” but when will all of us understand that we are our brothers’ brothers. Until we realize that we have
almost 8 billion brothers and sisters, all connected on this planet, we will not be able to understand compassion.

As Manley P. Hall stated, “When mob governs, man is ruled by ignorance; when the church governs, he is ruled by superstition; when the state governs, he is ruled by fear.”

Before men can live together in harmony and understanding, ignorance must be transmuted into wisdom; superstition into illuminated faith, and fear into love.”

So ask yourself: Are you willing to let charity begin at your home?

If you think about confrontations over the past 100 years, August, more often than not, is the time of major global energy shifts. From the start of the First World War to the atomic bombs we released over Japan, to the start of the First Gulf War, to the Second Gulf War, and, now, today we have entered the Third Gulf War. And, once again, we are told it will be just short strategic airstrikes.

Yet, when you see faces of the instant orphans in Palestine, or the frail bodies of old people climbing hills in Iraq without benefit of water for over a week, or the violence indelibly written on the faces of religious soldiers in combat with another group from their own religion, you are confronted with the thought that the critics are right. Religion is the cause of almost all wars. If you doubt that, ask yourself why the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims have been at war, on and off for the better part of the past 1000 years.

This is especially difficult when you recognize that virtually all religions teach peace. Given the results, the heroic stories we bring back from wars should be reason enough to wake-up.

Military-Industrial Cheerleaders, like a recent US President, convinced us to begin a new Crusade, and, sure enough, he announced six weeks later, that everything is ok, “Mission accomplished!” So go home, get your money and your list and go shopping. This one paragraph explains why keen observers see that we have abandoned the central belief that we are citizens first and have become consumers. As long as we get ours, who cares?

But is this who we are?

I’m not that and I doubt you are either.

So what is happening?

I have friends and teachers who are exploring other dimensions of our multi-dimensional relationship with the universe. Gone are the days when we could exclaim with wonder at claims we are connected to our distant moon. What we are now exploring is our connection to the very center of our galaxy.

Here is what the explorers are finding for us. We are, most assuredly, not alone. We are experiencing complex and powerful forces that the center of the galaxy is sending us to remove the roadblocks created by our historical mistakes. Think of this as that special science fiction idea of a star gate. When the star gate opens additional positive energies are available to us to solve some of the most entrenched problems our species has created. Our explorers tell us that beginning last Friday, August 8, 2014, a big star gate has opened and will remain open until the 25th of August.

Using the energies coming to us through this star gate, we are empowered to change the world.

And, the title of this article is the key to the correct use of this exceptional energy we are receiving. Working together across religious boundaries, spiritual boundaries and national boundaries, those of us who are awakened to this new inter-dimensional conversation, realize that the best we can do is reflect the energy we are receiving from the Galactic Center to those situations before us that are causing so much pain and hurt and destruction.

What we will find when we do this is an old spiritual truth: we have it within our power to be the light atop the mountain of a pain-darkened world.

Because we see this happening, it is imperative that we stop studying war and become the instruments of peace. At our companies, our neighborhoods, our cities, our states and our nations, we are the ones who need to be expecting a miracle and the miracle we need will not be like others in the past.

What we are here to do is to receive the message and information that invites us to expand our awareness across the galaxy.

If you have read this far, Congratulations! What this energy is requesting you to do is as old as time itself. Come and see your brothers and sisters living in a peace that is being created by your awakening to what is really possible.

Today, the peacemakers, the Children of God, are assembling to complete the full arrival of peace coming to earth. Are you one of us?

You may have heard the stories of what happened to the “Okies” who left for the coast during the great dust storms and drought of the 1930’s. When they reached the state line of California, armed American citizens and guards, who forbade their entry into California on the basis that the Okies would destroy the state and its economy, met them.

Hatred ensued. Then, in time, California absorbed all of these unwanted immigrants and life went on.

Or, imagine what it would have felt like, when as a starving Irish parent, the only hope you had left for your children was to put them on a boat, alone, to travel to America and the outstretched hands of the Statute of Liberty, who wears these words: “Give me your tired, your poor,
 your huddled masses yearning to breathe free;
the wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
 send these; the homeless,
 tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” Contained within this quote is the secret history of the last 150 years of American History.

And now listen to Texas politicians and other assorted defenders of our liberty, speaking about the illegal hoards bursting over our border with Mexico. Chris Davis, a 37-year-old truck driver listed as commander for a militia group gearing up to repel the invasion, told the San Antonio Express-News he believes law enforcement agencies welcome the help.

The group will secure the border in a “legal and lawful manner” Davis said. However, in a 21-minute YouTube video of Davis, which was first reported by the McAllen Monitor on July 4, (which he has now removed) suggests otherwise.

“How?” Davis asked on the video. “You see an illegal. You point your gun dead at him, right between his eyes, and you say, ‘Get back across the border or you will be shot.'” Davis said the “influx of illegal immigrants is bringing bad elements” to the country such as “sickness”.

Governor Rick Perry suggested that President Barack Obama could be leading a conspiracy to bring immigrants into the country. The Congress of the United States has refused to do anything at all about the Immigration Issues in hopes of being able to blame all of this on a duly elected President just before the fall election season.

Now imagine what would happen if our drought continues and we experience loss of water and major fires. Imagine gangs of thugs and billionaires who form groups to control what water is left, and these people enforce their power with guns, and many people are being killed, including children.

So the logical solution would be to attempt to emigrate to Arkansas and the water and springs there. All of a sudden, your lonely and painful trip to Arkansas and safety is met at the Texas border by angry Arkansas mobs feeling Texans and their overblown egos will finally ruin their state and lifestyle.

Now, as we all know, that could never happen in Texas. We fought them off at the Alamo and we will repel this invasion as well. And proudly we hail as a Republican Tea Party state, primarily of white people, who are all Christians.

So let’s ask the obvious question of our Christian selves in this situation: What would Jesus do? Do you really think he would tell the little children to go home to be killed? Or would he say: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”

While we’re deciding who we really are in this situation, you might consider the end of John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath when the Okie, Ma Joad, speaking for all immigrants who have met hatred when they arrive in America, says: “I ain’t never gonna be scared no more. I was, though. For a while it looked as though we was beat. Good and beat. Looked like we didn’t have nobody in the whole wide world but enemies. Like nobody was friendly no more. Made me feel kinda bad and scared too, like we was lost and nobody cared…. Rich fellas come up and they die, and their kids ain’t no good and they die out, but we keep a-coming. We’re the people that live. They can’t wipe us out, they can’t lick us. We’ll go on forever, Pa, cos we’re the people.”

Thanks for reading this far and thanks, too, for your support and contribution!

Chuck discusses when it is important to rest, reflect and ask God to show you the path he wants you to take next.

Love….what if it really works?

4x6 B&W Chuck Portrait 6032 Hill Country News, 2014-05-07

By Chuck Robison

We hear a lot about LOVE, from Valentine’s Day to the description of God. We hear so much about love, especially from Churches, that it seems to have lost its usefulness as a life principle or even as a power word.

So perhaps a different slant on the possible meaning of LOVE as a power word is in order. Generally speaking, today’s Christianity does not allow for the possibility that each soul lives many times here on Earth. Prize winning Christianity says that you win the prize for a good life only once….and then you disappear into heaven, plain and simple. Prize losers, of course, after one chance, go straight to hell for all eternity.

The early church had no such understanding. In the early church, many things were espoused that the later church, say after 325 AD and the Council in Nicaea, rejected and prosecuted believers for even discussing. Reincarnation is one of those ideas that was excluded by the 325 AD Nicene Counsel.

Reincarnation, like rabbits biting at your heels, still bites at the ankles of the church, so early on they tried to put a stop to it. The idea that you had more than one chance to win the prize diluted the authority of the church……something that, to this very day, is never permitted. Fact is, the Christian Church, in all its manifestations, wants to be judge, jury and executioner of its follower’s lives. Preaching Hell and Damnation is still on the agenda in many Christian Churches.

Reincarnation, on the other hand, reveals that each soul is eternal, exists at all times, is a cell in God’s body, and arrives on earth to live multiple lives that will eventually result in spiritual growth, also expressed as creating good Karma. This is the big schoolhouse we’re living in and we come here from someplace else and we will return there and come back again and again, until we have learned the lessons and passed the exams.

Karma is understood to be either good or bad, or like deposits and withdrawals in the spiritual bank of life. Kindness, good deeds and compassionate acts toward other souls result in deposits to your Karma account. Meanness, destruction and attacks on other souls results in a withdrawal from your Karma account. At the end of your life, you go through a review and God balances your account and the resulting balance or deficit determines the agenda for your next life.

Those in the know realize that kindness toward all other souls, is a sure way to build up your Karma credits.

Now here is where LOVE comes in. As we realize that every other soul is on the same journey toward learning about Kindness, Love and Good Karma as we are, it begins to determine how we will treat each other. Jesus said, “Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You”……because, not only are you in the exact same boat as they are, but you are ONE with all souls. What we do to another, we do also to ourselves. This is not just a good idea….it’s the law.

With that as an understanding, would we continue to do some of the destructive and mean things we do to each other? Would we allow states to war on each other, build nuclear bombs, or even execute prisoners for crimes that already have an eternal result in the bank of Karma? No. Would we go out of our way to help each other, to be kind to each other, to forgive each other, regardless of the crime, offense or provocation in question? The answer is Yes.

This is the ultimate win-win approach to life. Treating others as you would like to be treated adds to your karma while allowing the other person to see beyond the pain they have created and it opens the door to more positive spiritual growth. We are the each other’s teachers.

Of course, this is not easy and it is made harder still when our Church leaders do not allow us to think about reincarnation or Karma.

However, as Christians we do not have to go along with the crowd. We can show love to every soul with whom we come in contact, because whatever we do to others, we do to ourselves. And a positive Karmic balance in this life, will make the next life so much better.

Chuck discusses some of what he is learning as he and Karen meet weekly with the Ascended Masters and the Archangels for an interview which is then presented on Karen’s Angel Readings by Karen website. (See tab above on right side.)

These audio interviews challenge most of our beliefs and ways of seeing things……and they ALWAYS provide a different way of seeing life and current events…..and one walks away from listening with a deeper appreciation about what is possible in other dimensions.

The Door is Open – Faith Column

20120220-_MG_Small6032 By Chuck Robison

It’s time for Darwin to retire. In 1859 Darwin published the Origin of the Species and from that point forward, Christians have been threatened by the implications of what he proposed. When I say Christians, I mean that portion of Christians who feel called upon to defend the Almighty. Imagine that……defending God!

That, however, is the crux of the problem. God’s defenders are currently composed of about 46 % of the American population, more in Texas, of course, and they have so misconstrued the issues in our evolution, that it is time to walk away from it and into a future given us through our own experience of personal evolution. Here are some examples.

Darwin did not propose the survival of the fittest. He proposed the survival of the least weak. That’s why you see in the animal kingdom that the sick, the infirm and the damaged animals are the food target of predators. This natural process strengthens the herd. And yet even Darwin’s most ardent detractors actually believe in the survival of the fittest. It is a key component of our current crisis of greed.

Einstein said that God does not play dice….which seems to contradict Darwin, but Darwin was trying to explain a complex system that had no seemingly workable explanation in 1859. Had he been writing today, he would have had a mountain of scientific issues to prove his case, from chaos theory to quantum biology. But the idea that this is a random crapshoot does not work in our world.

Finally, when asked about where did the first cell come from that was dropped into the pond, he replied, “God”.

God’s defenders feel it important to view the Bible as literal, despite the fact that it is filled with one allegory after another, and the meaning of these allegories changes over time, as does our understanding of everything else. But seeing the Bible as literal makes good sense if you are trying to connect with something totally currently invisible and available only through Faith, and you are looking for absolute certainty.

With this short summary, it can be said that Darwin has been so misunderstood that it is time to put him back on the shelf for a while.

But here is the main reason. Science is going to go on regardless of what Christians believe. In a free country, it is perfectly fine to raise children with a belief that the entire world is less than 10,000 years old and was created in 6 days. But not all parents want their children to enter a highly scientific and technical world hobbled from their beginning by a lack of understanding about how things work, and a fear of science.

When we believe that man showed up less than 10,000 years ago, fully developed and fixed for all time, we slam the door in God’s face by saying the creation is all done. By defending God against Darwin, we are not concerned with the past, we are actually trying to control the future. The very idea that man has no more growth or development ahead is dangerous. By losing sight of the fact that the human brain is still in the process of evolution towards a more perfect state in which a still-superior pattern of consciousness is possible, we tell God that He cannot move beyond where we are right now.

Evolution says that there are worlds and states that we cannot even imagine now,
because we are not sufficiently evolved to sense, perceive or understand these worlds. But as our bodies unfold and grow slowly over time, as God intends through an evolutionary process, we will experience new levels of consciousness and understanding that will require new skills and attributes not currently available to us now.

To become that future human, we need to conform our lives to a more simple lifestyle, reject the greed that our society breeds in us and be willing to be open to how God is working today in our world to bring us to a higher level of understanding and consciousness. And Peace.
